In theTraining
Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. All of my writings are about where I am currently in the present moment. It is extremely hard to be vulnerable in the moment when its not the projected or perceived moment. But this is life, right? As someone who has lived for three decades I can say that most people fear being vulnerable. That is what I fear most even when I pretend and "fake it to make it." The truth is we all have to look ourselves in the mirror everyday, like Michael Jackson sings to us. It is not what others perceive about us but what our creator, God knows about us. When we can embrace the truth of who we are in Gods eyes and choose to surrender to his will and not ours then we have completed training. The truth lies in surrender and obedience to our Creator and admitting that we all have fallen but Jesus is the only one that has loved us, saved us and been vulnerable on behalf of all of us. Jesus explains to us in his vulnerability John 14:6 " Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. Jesus came down un earth to humble himself and live a human life. A life that was to show that he could be vulnerable and how deep and everlasting his love is for us. We have to remember Jesus is God and he has many names and traveled different dimensions to show us how powerful we all are as a " child of God." However, most of us refuse to acknowledge the spiritual realm that existed before us and still do not know the gifts we possess within us on this earth. You can find the gifts he has blessed us with in Ephesians 4: 11-13 which states "So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." We are simply here to join in the message of reconciliation and mature in Christ.
As an athlete, I understand why God has brought me through certain experiences and taught me certsin things in training. Truly, it is because it takes the same principles to be a great athlete as is it does to be a "daughter of God", a warrior for the body of Christ is our mission. We are here to bring souls to God and build the Kingdom on earth. For so long I chose to do things my way and live in pride and self assertion and it literally almost led me to death and hopelessness. Until I decided to surrender and rededicate my life this year I have finally been able to see with new eyes my purpose and failure to train towards the good things God has for me. I now submit and understand what job i was supposed to take all along and that is to surrender to God's wil and be a loyal soldier.
Literally, it tells us in God's word what our job duties are and role in life is on this earth. Take a look at 2 Corinthians 5:20 " We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." The word "reconciled" keeps popping up and I feel inclined to dive deeper into the etymology of the word because I now understand the power of words more than ever. So lets define what reconciliation is so we can articulate our purpose on earth and fulfill the mission that Good has called us to as he did his son Jesus Christ. So literally according to the concordance "reconciled" means to change, exchange, as coins for equivalent value, to receive one into favor. This is so powerful when you look at the title of this season "pray you whore" and to know that Jesus has paid all your debts and you are now debt free as an ambassador of Christ. This is a harsh but brutal truth we need to understand what God did for us by sending his son as a human being and then crucifying his son to pay all our debts because he knew we would fail the test and remain prostitutes of idolatry.
At this point, the least i can do is dedicate my life to training to be the best ambassador of Christ and accept he gifts God has given me for the Kingdom. We are in a revolution and we are in a time where we can truly change and save the world if we surrender to God's will in our lives. I have done it "my way" ( Frank Sinatra voice) but today I am here to tell you it is the wrong way. Only the artist can define and give value to the creation. I want to share what I have been learning and reading about ironically in my discipleship program at freechapel.org where I attend church. I am reading a great book called Next Level Living- Are you ready for God's great adventure? by Rich Rogers forward by Jentzen Franklin and they are literally giving us a five pronged battle plan. Like Joshua, a general, who leads his people into the promise land because of his obedience and relationship with the Lord. My life has profoundly changed now that I focus on my presence and relationship with my personal trainer, the Lord Jesus Christ.
I am training to be the best coworker for the Kingdom. I want to be a part of bringing "Kingdom Culture" on earth and I must participate in the battle plan. In I Corinthians 3:9 it states "For we are co-workers in God's service; you are God's field, God's building." Lets just be clear that I am not making these words up nor do I want to fail an open book test. I suggest you get to reading the Word of God for yourself because that is the first step in training at any job. You must read the contracts you sign, the manual before building or the handbook before you begin to accomplish any job with excellence. So lets move on to the next step and assess the five pronged battle plan mentioned in this amazing book written by Dr. Rich. He quotes at the beginning of this chapter I Peter 3:14-15 which says "14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect," and I think this proves how we must "live ready" to share the good news with anyone who needs it.
We know that God is in control and in authority at all times. So we must first submit and surrender our way for His way at all times. We see in the world today that we have lost influence in universities, state and federal legislatures, healthcare systems, and even our children and society. It is time to take back territory and influence for the sanity and safety of this planet and our future generations. We must do the following at minimum:
Embrace the Hour in which we live. God is intentional and you are here for a moment in time such as this. We have to stop making excuses and be present and ready to invite Holy Spirit/ Jesus into every moment of our lives. Let him guide you and you get out of the way. The quicker you surrender to his will and purpose for your life the quicker we can see the change in this world and the faster we will win the battle over the souls of man. Imagine being a Marine and choosing to do things your way instead of listening to the plan and orders given, you are putting everyone around you at risk including yourself. We are one army, one kingdom, one love.
Our weapons are not carnal. Lets quote a powerful verse in 2 Corinthians 10:4 which says "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." The guns, nuclear warfare or violence will not save you in the end. When you choose and understand that our weapons are love, mercy, hope, compassion, grace, purpose, and salvation for souls is what we are truly fighting for. Now that we are clear on our mission we can move in unity and build upon the foundation God has intended for us.
Every man and every woman has a post with orders from the throne. This is so important when we think of how many people are suffering with abandonment, rejection or the orphan spirit. To know that you adopted into the bloodline of Christ gives you belonging and a firm foundation to build upon. You do not have to be swayed but planted and watered in God's will for your life. This takes all the stress off of you! Just listen to the orders given from the Lord and walk in OBEDIENCE and FAITH. Read I Corinthians 3:5-8 which says "5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow" this proves that God is our general and in control all we must do is hear and doers of the Word of God.
We must win the war at home. This part of the plan is so crucial and where I am focusing lots of energy as a mother of two beautiful boys and the oldest of seven siblings. I was the girl that said I never wanted to be married or have kids but now I understand that was a straegy planted bythe enemy and not God's will for my life. I though these things because I never processsed the trauma of my parents divorcing and family being broken. Now I am grateful that I am a part of a more powerful and everlasting spiritual bloodline who has good plans for me and can be trusted with my soul and spirit. Now I understand that God has put me in this position on the battle field because he trusts in my abilities to be a "Mother Of Many." Motherhood is a gift and a ministry and we must teach our children the truth. It is up to us to establish routine, tradition and standards rooted in Christ. We are responsible for our faith being passed on to future generations. The enemies main strategy is to breakdown the family unit, to divide and conquer, but now we are aware and awakened to the schemes of satan.
We do not war alone; all of heaven stands by our side. Let me first explain that as heirs of God, ambassadors for Jesus Christ and coworkers to the King of all Kings. We have tremendous support and power because we are made in God's image. We must not carry fear into the battlefield but understand we are equipped with the winning strategy. We must instruct the angels on our behalf and we must walk in righteousness and obedience to defeat the one who is already defeated. God has allowed me to experience "winning" as a reminder that we are all "winners" if we choose to walk in the identity and purpose he has called us to accept. We have to stop failing an open book test and stop being lazy and playing the victim in our own lives. We have the victory and it's important to get in the battlefield with a winning attitude. Its time to take Isaiah 54:7 to heart " no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord. We have all of the power through Jesus Christ who reconciled us and gives us what we need ALWAYS!
I hope this has helped you embrace your true role and purpose on earth. We all need to take a deeper look at ourselves and begin the training program that the Lord has for us. Like a personal trainer, our job is to hold you accountable, keep you encouraged, and be honest about where you are. This is tough love but required to get us to move or we will die in comfort and never fulfill our God given purpose. God created us ALL so lets start by asking our Creator... why? Then we can begin to move in alignment and train with the right goals for our lives. Remember, the longer you train for the wrong thing or delay getting started you are putting others at risk and guaranteeing a loss. We are winners so lets start training in alignment with God's goals in our life and with a winning attitude.

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
