Just Be!
Another Revelation I received as the Lord was reading me a bed time story. I have been coming back to a verse over and over this month Jeremiah 29:11 which reads " For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." WOW! This hit me sooo deep as I am reading Exodus 1 and 2. Literally, God had a plan for Moses and his people in the midst of killing first born sons. Moses was raised in the palace and with his own Mama. God has got us and he is working things out in our favor even if it doesn't make sense to us.

Just Be
Welcome to Just Be, a blog that reminds you that you are enough because you are a child of God. Through Jesus Christ, we have been redeemed and now represent the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. We no longer have to conform to the patterns of this world. Instead, we are called to rise above them, set our minds on things above, and boldly walk in our identity in Christ.
Lately, I have felt overwhelmed by everything God has placed before me. There are moments when I simply want to give up and backslide because the road ahead seems impossible. Yes, I have jokingly called myself a "backsliding heifer!" Yet even in those moments, God never condemns me. Instead, He gently encourages me, lovingly corrects me, and gives me the space to be honest with Him.
As the Lord has been "keeping it real" with me, He continues to bring one particular verse to my attention. My children come home from Bible study talking about it. I turn on a message in the car, and the speaker references it. I call a friend, and once again I hear the same truth. Everywhere I turn, God is reminding me of this message while also prompting me to read the book of Exodus again.
In this season of expansion, obedience, and even overwhelm, the Lord keeps reminding me of three things.
First, I am not alone.
Second, His plans for me are always good.
Third, God delights in humble beginnings.
During one of my quiet evenings with the Lord, He reminded me that His protection and His plans are always good, regardless of our circumstances or environment.
When the king of Egypt ordered the death of every Hebrew baby boy because he feared Israel's growth, God was already writing a greater story. In the middle of oppression and fear, God preserved the life of one child—Moses.
Moses should have died.
Instead, God protected him because He had a purpose for his life. Through Moses, God would deliver Israel, establish His covenant with His people, and continue unfolding His redemptive plan that ultimately points to Jesus Christ.
One baby carried God's purpose.
In the same way, each of us has been created with a purpose.
As Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, God has "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
How encouraging is that?
God's protection is powerful.
Our obedience is the key that allows us to walk in His purpose.
Again, this is the message God continues to repeat throughout this season of my life.
I truly believe I am in a season where spiritual life and growth depend upon my obedience and my daily presence with the Lord.
Exodus 1:17–20 says:
"The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live... So God was kind to the midwives, and the people increased and became even more numerous."
Notice what motivated these women.
They did not fear Pharaoh.
They feared God.
That distinction changed everything.
This is exactly where I believe God is leading me.
Although I may be walking through transition and spiritual battles, I know that God will protect me and guide every step I take. Just as He protected Moses through the courage and obedience of his mother, his sister, and Pharaoh's daughter, He continues to work through ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary purposes.
Moses was spared from death.
He was cared for by his own mother.
He was raised in Pharaoh's household.
Only God could orchestrate a story like that.
If God could preserve Moses in the middle of such impossible circumstances, why do we doubt what He can accomplish in our own lives?
When life feels overwhelming...
When anxiety begins to rise...
When fear whispers that you are not enough...
Remember whose side you are on.
Remember who you belong to.
Remember your identity in Christ.
You were created by God, declared righteous through Jesus Christ, and deeply loved by your Heavenly Father.
No job.
No title.
No amount of money.
No human approval.
Nothing compares to the power of God living within you.
At the end of the day, there is only One whose approval truly matters.
We live for our Heavenly Father.
One of my friends favorite Scriptures comes to mind:
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." — Colossians 3:23–24
As I continue learning to rest in God's presence instead of striving for the world's approval, I hope you will do the same.
Thank you for allowing me to simply Just Be.
My prayer is that something you read today resonated with your spirit and reminded you that you are enough—not because of what you accomplish, but because of whose you are.

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
