Welcome to JUST BE, a blog that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption through Jesus Christ.

Every single day, we are given a choice.

Will we speak life?

Or will we speak death?

Freedom is one of the greatest gifts our Heavenly Father has given us.

Because of Jesus Christ (Yeshua), we are no longer slaves to sin, fear, or hopelessness. We have been invited to walk in the freedom He purchased for us on the cross.

That means we no longer have to live as victims.

We are called to live as sons and daughters of God, walking in His authority, His truth, and His love.

One of the greatest gifts God has entrusted to humanity is language.

Words have the power to build.

Words have the power to heal.

Words have the power to encourage.

And words also have the power to destroy.

Proverbs 18:21 reminds us:

"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit."

Every word we speak plants a seed.

Eventually, we live in the harvest of what we have been speaking.

Even popular culture recognizes this truth.

One of my favorite movie quotes comes from Spider-Man:

"With great power comes great responsibility."

Our words carry influence.

That means we should be intentional—not only with what we say to others, but also with what we continually say to ourselves.

Why I Am Starting a Podcast

One of the acts of obedience God has placed on my heart is starting a podcast.

Not because I want attention.

Not because I want a platform.

But because I want to steward the voice God has given me.

When Jesus walked the earth, there were no microphones.

No social media.

No podcasts.

No YouTube.

No Instagram.

No TikTok.

Yet crowds traveled for miles just to hear Him teach.

His words changed hearts.

His words transformed lives.

His words are still transforming lives over two thousand years later.

In approximately three years of public ministry, Jesus trained His disciples, proclaimed the Gospel, and changed the course of human history.

That reminds me that influence has never depended on technology.

It has always depended on truth.

The Difference Between God's Power and Ours

There was a season when I embraced ideas influenced by New Age thinking.

I believed I could simply "speak things into existence."

Looking back, I realize I misunderstood what it means to be created in God's image.

Being made in God's image does not mean we are gods.

It means we reflect His character and are invited to participate in His work.

Only God creates something from nothing.

Only God speaks creation into existence.

John 1:1–3 reminds us:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made."

Jesus is the eternal Word.

Everything that exists ultimately begins with Him.

That truth changed the way I understand my own words.

My words are not meant to replace God's authority.

They are meant to reflect His truth.

The Battle We Cannot See

Recently, I listened to one of my favorite business teachers, Myron Golden, explain the Four Levels of Value.

His teaching reminded me that the greatest value we can offer the world is truth.

That is one reason I feel called to begin a podcast.

Not to build my own kingdom.

But to point people toward God's Kingdom.

Every day we are surrounded by fear, negativity, confusion, and noise.

The news often magnifies anxiety.

Social media rewards outrage.

The enemy thrives on deception.

Yet Scripture reminds us that our greatest battle is not against people.

It is spiritual.

Ephesians 6 teaches that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces that cannot be seen.

The unseen world is more real than we often realize.

What happens in our hearts eventually shapes what comes out of our mouths.

Speak to Yourself Like God Speaks to You

Every one of us has an inner voice.

The question is...

Whose voice are we believing?

When our inner dialogue agrees with shame, fear, or condemnation, we slowly begin living beneath the identity God has given us.

But when our hearts are renewed by God's Word, our speech begins to change.

And when our speech changes...

Our lives begin to change.

Proverbs 13:2 says:

"From the fruit of their lips people enjoy good things, but the unfaithful have an appetite for violence."

Healthy words produce healthy fruit.

Heal Your Inner World First

If we truly want to change the world, we must first allow God to transform our own hearts.

Healing begins within.

Pay attention to the way you speak to yourself.

Surround yourself with people who speak truth, encouragement, and hope.

Distance yourself from voices that constantly criticize, curse, or cultivate hopelessness.

The words we repeatedly hear become the beliefs we eventually live.

Imagination Is a Gift

God has given every human being an extraordinary imagination.

It is one of His gifts.

Our imagination allows us to solve problems, create beauty, innovate, write, build, invent, and dream.

Don't waste that gift.

Use it to glorify the One who gave it to you.

Hebrews 11:3 reminds us:

"By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible."

Everything visible points back to an invisible Creator.

That is why our greatest responsibility is not simply to speak.

It is to speak words that reflect the heart of Christ.

Speak life.

Speak truth.

Speak hope.

Because you never know whose life may be transformed by a single sentence spoken in love.
