Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. Let it rise up in you and let me tell you I just stuffed my face with a bowl of sugar on Day 2 of my dry fast. I felt so much anger and shame because I hate losing. That is how I like to look at spiritual warfare, its a game towards consecration. We have to be able to take correction so we can implement our new strategy and fight back.

Instead of letting the spirit of perfection take over me when I fail. It's a reminder that I am excessing my soul and resistance to sin. I am growing in humility and grace. I have overcame a lot but that doesn't mean that I am done suffering as a daughter of God. I named my blog "Pray, you whore" because it is a humble reminder that we are all worshipping idols and sinners. The Lord is honest (God calls us many things, read Hosea) and a lot of times we need the tough love to make a change. This blog is a reminder that we are on a journey and the idea of instant gratification is a scheme the devil uses to open the door to fear, anxiety and doubt.

Hosea 4:16

"For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the Lord will feed them as a lamb in a large place. "

When I am fasting I am hyper vigilant and ready to reveal all that is broken within me! I would not ne here if it wasn't for the Lords sympathy and God's grace. Although I smashed a bowl of frosted flakes today, I immediately felt convicted and repented and ask the Lord for forgiveness. The battle is not over because I cannot keep backsliding and repenting, but strive towards sanctification. The Holy Spirit revealed that I have accomplished and overcome a lot but to never get too comfortable. You have to stay self- aware and take correction and heal your heart. Prayer and fasting is what I have found works for stubborn and rebellious women like me.

These attributes are not of God, so you have to understand where you need to heal and shut doors in your life. I am a lover and healer and it's very hard for me to not find fulfillment in helping others. However I was failing to protect my heart and now I write to you in brokenness and bruising because my pride and the New Age teachings made me think I had the power. All it revealed in me was narcissim and a culture and world filled with narcissism. We have no power if we have not claimed Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, he is the only one who has already paid our debt.

2 Corinthians 6:14

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

You cannot do both! Take it from me who thought I had my demons and idols in check until one day they were not. So I fast and pray to remind myself that I am a work in progress, a whore that prays. In order to heal and walk in authority you have to be self aware and address your weaknesses if you want to lead well. The point I want you to hear is that you need to fast, if you are called to walk in his glory. Suffering is a part of the journey just like training for a marathon requires lots of preparation, mindset shifts, and disciplined practice. Being a woman of God requires that we train in resistance to sin, or we will miss the mark.

I do want to help others find Christ and freedom so I want to highlight a special woman who saw me. I need a Olympic trainer in the spirit. I was engaged and questioning many things and The Year of The Bride book and fast truly changed my life. I was able to clarify what marriage is and what it is supposed to be in God's way. God's way is the only way and I realized that I could not submit to a self reliant man, a man unable to submit to God. When I tell you EVERYTHING was revealed, I am grateful and getting ready for my kingdom spouse.
