The Spot vs The Other Spot
Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog, that takes you on my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption. I am writing to confirm that the journey you are on is all a part of a bigger plan... God's plan! Many of us struggle with surrender because of our own trauma and feeling of instability. Atleast, I can speak form my own experience that I have struggled with the spirit of Leviathan in my relationships and personally. The spirit of Leviathan is not easy to get rid of and is sometimes a strategy the devil uses to keep us in bondage. The truth is that we are free as children of God by faith we are saved not by our works and deeds. Ephesians 2:8-9 " For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast."

God Uses Every Season
Welcome to Pray! you whore, a blog that shares my personal journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption.
If there is one thing God has been teaching me, it is this:
Nothing is wasted.
Every season, every heartbreak, every disappointment, and every victory is part of His greater plan.
Many of us struggle to surrender because life has taught us to protect ourselves. Trauma, instability, betrayal, and disappointment often convince us that we must remain in control in order to survive.
I know that feeling well.
As I have grown in Christ, I have recognized patterns of pride, fear, and control in my own life that continually kept me from fully trusting God. Through prayer and studying Scripture, I began to understand how those strongholds kept me in bondage.
Yet God's Word continually reminded me that freedom is not earned through my performance.
It is received by grace.
Ephesians 2:8–9 declares:
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
Those verses changed my perspective.
I finally understood that God was not trying to punish me.
He was teaching me to trust Him.
I had to stop asking, "Why is this happening to me?" and begin asking, "Lord, what are You teaching me through this?"
One of the most vulnerable parts of my testimony involves the father of my children.
My two sons were conceived during a season when I was living outside of God's design for my life.
I do not share that story with shame.
I share it because redemption is real.
God never wastes a surrendered life.
Ephesians 2:3 reminds us:
"All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts."
That verse reminds me that none of us stand before God because of our own righteousness.
Every one of us has fallen short.
Every one of us is completely dependent upon His grace.
For me, what I call "The Spot" represents a season of searching.
A season when I was trying to discover my identity apart from God.
A season marked by heartbreak, abandonment, rejection, and survival.
Looking back, I now see God's hand even there.
Psalm 34:18 became deeply personal:
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
God met me in my brokenness.
He did not abandon me.
He patiently walked beside me until I was ready to surrender.
Motherhood became one of the greatest turning points in my life.
My sons gave me a reason to seek something greater than myself.
I began praying more.
Reading more.
Searching more.
Although I still made many mistakes, God was patiently drawing me toward Himself.
Looking back now, I realize that "The Spot" was not simply a place of pain.
It became the place where God began teaching me humility.
He showed me that my greatest gifts were not found in worldly success but in serving others through health, wellness, encouragement, and leadership.
The more I insisted on doing life my own way, the more frustrated I became.
Eventually, I recognized how fear, pride, and lust had distracted me from God's purpose.
Then God brought me into what I call "The Other Spot."
Unlike the first season, this one was not about survival.
It was about sanctification.
God lovingly exposed the areas where healing still needed to take place.
He refined my heart.
He challenged my pride.
He softened my stubbornness.
He taught me what spiritual maturity truly looks like.
Ephesians 4:13 beautifully describes that process:
"...until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
I slowly realized that I had been relying upon myself far more than I had been relying upon Jesus.
"The Other Spot" became the place where I learned complete dependence upon Christ.
It also became the season in which God graciously blessed me with another son.
Looking back, I can clearly see His redemption woven throughout every chapter of my life.
Today, I no longer desire to live in rebellion.
I desire to live in obedience.
Romans 1:5 reminds us that grace produces obedience born out of faith.
That is the life I now pursue.
Reading God's Word.
Walking in prayer.
Growing through discipleship.
Serving others.
Trusting Him one day at a time.
One of the greatest confirmations of God's work in my life was watching both my partner and me begin attending church together and publicly declare our faith through baptism.
Only God could accomplish that kind of transformation.
When I compare "The Spot" with "The Other Spot," I see the difference between self-reliance and surrender.
One season taught me who I was without God.
The other taught me who I am because of Him.
If you currently find yourself in a difficult relationship or painful season, I encourage you to place it before the Lord.
Allow Him to accomplish what only He can.
We do not possess the power to change another person's heart.
Only God does.
Our responsibility is faithfulness.
Isaiah 27:1 reminds us that the Lord alone has authority over every force that opposes His purposes.
He is our Deliverer.
He is our Defender.
He is our Redeemer.
When we surrender our fears, anxieties, and burdens to Him, we discover that He has been carrying us all along.
If today feels difficult...
Stay where God has planted you until He tells you to move.
Remain faithful.
Remain prayerful.
Remain hopeful.
There is purpose in your present season, even if you cannot yet see it.
God is not finished writing your story.

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
