Nothing Under the Sun Can Replace the Son

Yahweh created everything—even the sun.

When you develop a genuine relationship with Him, you begin to experience a peace that surpasses all understanding. The closer you grow to Yahweh, the easier it becomes to resist conforming to the patterns of this world. He renews your perspective and gives you the wisdom to see life through the truth of His Word.

I know what it feels like to live in this world without a close relationship with Yahweh, and I never want to return to that way of living.

The book of Ecclesiastes poetically reminds us that everything pursued apart from God is temporary. Ecclesiastes 1:14 says:

“I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

At first, that verse may sound depressing. However, it reveals an important truth: when our lives are out of alignment with Yahweh’s will, even our greatest achievements can leave us feeling empty.

When Intelligence Is Not Enough

Yahweh led me to Ecclesiastes this week to encourage and correct me.

For much of my life, I believed I was highly intelligent. I thought I understood more than most people and could create success through my own knowledge, effort, and ideas.

But intelligence without obedience did not produce wisdom.

Yahweh allowed me to experience the consequences of rejecting His instruction. My original brand included New Age influences and theology that remained “in the gray.” Looking back, I understand why God did not allow me to achieve the success and financial security I desired through that message.

He loved me too much to allow me to lead others toward confusion and falsehood.

I am grateful that Yahweh humbled me and revealed His truth in a way I could no longer ignore.

His correction was not rejection.

It was protection.

Seeking the Right Truth

When I rededicated my life to Christ and was baptized, I made a commitment to read the Word of God daily, spend intentional time with Him, and study the Bible from beginning to end for myself.

That one habit has transformed my life and changed my perspective on nearly everything.

I have always considered myself a “truth seeker.” In the past, you could often find me traveling down a rabbit hole of conspiracy theories, trying to discover hidden information and understand what was happening behind the scenes.

There is nothing wrong with seeking truth.

The question is:

What are we seeking, and where are we looking for answers?

Not every source of spiritual information leads us closer to God. Some practices can create confusion, fear, obsession, and spiritual vulnerability.

But Yahweh is faithful.

He is a loving Father who rescues us when we turn toward Him and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Matthew 6:33 says:

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

First Corinthians 10:13 also reminds us:

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

That is how deeply our Heavenly Father loves us.

He knew we would face temptation, but through Christ, He provided a way of escape.

Does Your Life Reflect Your Belief?

I am a living testimony that God has a plan for each of our lives and that His plan is good.

However, we must first humble ourselves and surrender to the truth revealed through Yahweh, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit.

Many of us say we believe in God, but we must honestly ask:

Does my life reflect what I say I believe?

For years, I lived with hypocrisy, deception, and doubt. I claimed to seek truth, yet I often rejected the very Word that contained it.

Today, I encourage you to offer your Creator a fresh surrender.

He is not only the Maker of all things.

He is also the Heavenly Father our souls desperately need.

We may have families, careers, businesses, and goals, but have we submitted them to God?

Are we living according to our own plans or according to His will?

That is a question many of us must answer honestly.

The Difference Between Knowledge and Wisdom

We live in a culture obsessed with knowing the future.

Tarot cards, palm readings, psychic predictions, and online spiritual trends can appear harmless, especially when people are searching for reassurance, direction, or control.

But as followers of Christ, we are called to seek wisdom from God rather than spiritual substitutes.

Our desire to “know everything” can become a burden when it causes us to trust information more than we trust Yahweh.

Knowledge may tell us many things.

Wisdom teaches us to admit what we do not know and depend on the One who knows all things.

Ecclesiastes 12:8 says:

“‘Meaningless! Meaningless!’ says the Teacher. ‘Everything is meaningless!’”

The Teacher is not saying that life has no value.

He is showing us that everything becomes empty when God is removed from the center.

Let Yahweh be your Teacher.

Lay down the things you have decided are most important and ask Him:

What did You create me to do?

Does my work bring glory to You?

Am I teaching Your truth responsibly?

Am I living as an ambassador of Christ?

Second Corinthians 5:20 says:

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

Stop Chasing the Wind

We should not claim to be wise while ignoring Yahweh and His Word.

We should not work only for vanity, fame, recognition, or self-righteousness. Our ideas, businesses, ministries, and plans must be submitted to Him because He deserves the glory.

We were created to work, but we were not created to worship work.

There is a difference.

We can enjoy our labor and serve with excellence because we are working for the Lord. However, when hustle becomes our identity, it may reveal that we are struggling to trust Yahweh as our Provider.

Rest is not laziness.

Rest can be an expression of faith.

Ecclesiastes 8:16–17 says:

“When I applied my mind to know wisdom and to observe the labor that is done on earth—people getting no sleep day or night—then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all their efforts to search it out, no one can discover its meaning. Even if the wise claim they know, they cannot really comprehend it.”

Solomon possessed extraordinary wealth, influence, and wisdom, yet he still recognized the limits of human understanding.

We were never created to know everything.

We were created to know God.

The Conclusion of the Matter

Ecclesiastes does not leave us without direction.

It provides a clear conclusion.

Ecclesiastes 12:13–14 says:

“Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind.
For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.”

So today, I leave you with these questions:

Who are you truly working for?

Are you obeying God’s commands?

Do you reverence Him with the way you live?

These questions are not meant to condemn us.

They are meant to realign us.

When we invite Yahweh into every decision, surrender our plans, and seek His Kingdom first, we discover that life is not meaningless after all.

Our work gains purpose.

Our minds receive wisdom.

Our hearts experience peace.

Take every step with Yahweh.

Nothing under the sun can satisfy you like a relationship with the Son.
