Welcome to Pray! You Whore
Welcome to Pray! You Whore, where I invite you into my journey of repentance, reconciliation, and redemption.
This journey is deeply personal.
It is the story of my deliverance, my obedience, and my continual surrender to Christ.
My prayer is that as you read these words, you will no longer be ashamed of your own story. God has a way of transforming our greatest tests into our greatest testimonies.
I have been a brokenhearted woman for much of my life—from the little girl I once was to the woman I am becoming today.
Yet I have found comfort in God's promise:
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Psalm 34:18
That promise became my lifeline.
I have learned that healing does not come through independence or self-reliance.
Healing comes when we trust God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.
The world offers many substitutes for peace through self-help, manifestation, affirmations, or spiritual practices that promise control.
But none of those things can save us.
Only Christ can.
Healing Was Never Meant to Be Done Alone
God never intended for us to heal in isolation.
We grow through prayer.
We grow through fasting.
We grow through the Body of Christ.
One of the greatest acts of surrender in my own life has been learning to let people into my healing journey instead of hiding behind independence.
Isolation protects our pride.
Community strengthens our faith.
If you feel alone today, I want you to know that you are not.
The Father walks with you.
Jesus intercedes for you.
The Holy Spirit comforts, convicts, teaches, and guides you into all truth.
You have access to the greatest Counselor who has ever existed.
Bring your brokenness to Him.
Bring your questions.
Bring your shame.
Bring your wounds.
Healing begins with honesty.
My Monthly Reset
At the beginning of every month, I dedicate the first three days to prayer and fasting.
It is a time to quiet every distraction, lay down every idol, and invite the Holy Spirit to search my heart.
During that time, I ask God questions like these:
What is holding me back?
Where have I been deceived?
Who or what has influenced me away from Your truth?
What idols still compete for my heart?
What unhealthy patterns have existed in my family for generations?
What Scriptures are You highlighting for this season?
Then I wait.
I pray.
I listen.
I write.
The Holy Spirit faithfully reveals what needs to be surrendered and what He desires to restore.
Repentance Opens the Door to Healing
Many times, we struggle to receive God's healing because we struggle to acknowledge our own need for repentance.
Repentance is not punishment.
It is freedom.
Sometimes God reveals unhealthy patterns that have existed within our families for generations.
Other times, He exposes attitudes, fears, pride, or unforgiveness that have quietly shaped our lives.
As believers, we have the privilege of praying for our families, our churches, our communities, and even those who have hurt us.
I often pray that God would bring redemption to my family and restore what generations before me could not.
Isaiah calls God's people "repairers of the breach."
That has become one of my prayers.
Lord, let healing begin with me.
Leadership Begins with Responsibility
As a former point guard and four-time state champion, I learned something that shaped my leadership long before I realized God was preparing me for ministry.
A point guard doesn't blame the team.
A point guard takes responsibility.
When the team loses, the leader asks:
What could I have done better?
Leadership is not about perfection.
Leadership is about ownership.
Looking back, I can see that every disappointment, every setback, and every painful season was preparing me to become a better leader, entrepreneur, and servant of Christ.
God was developing character before He entrusted me with greater responsibility.
He was strengthening my faith before expanding my influence.
Strength Comes Through Dependence
One of my favorite verses has been tattooed on my back for years:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13
I understand that verse differently today than I did years ago.
It is not a promise that life will always be easy.
It is a promise that Christ will always provide the strength we need to remain faithful.
There will be seasons that feel too heavy for us.
That is precisely why we need Him.
His strength becomes perfect in our weakness.
Become the Example
As you seek healing, ask yourself these questions honestly.
Not because you are trying to earn God's love.
But because you desire to become more like Christ.
Lead by example.
Pray for others.
Intercede for your family.
Bless your enemies.
Choose forgiveness.
Walk in humility.
Healing has a way of multiplying.
As God restores your heart, He often uses your testimony to help restore someone else's.
That is how His Kingdom grows.
Jesus never pursued fame.
He pursued obedience.
Everything He did pointed people back to His Father.
As ambassadors of Christ, may that become our greatest desire as well.
Instead of pointing fingers, let us ask ourselves:
How can I represent Jesus more faithfully today?
May our lives become living testimonies of God's grace, one surrendered day at a time.

Connecting hearts through the power of prayer.
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
